Gregory Clark Fortner, age 56 passed away on Friday, November 25, 2022. Greg was born in Marietta, Georgia on November 28, 1965 to C.C. and Carol Fortner. He was a retired Public Accountant and a member of Northstar Church in Kennesaw. Greg had become very passionate about sharing his experiences as a way to encourage those around him to live life to the fullest no matter the circumstances. His love for family & friends was evident but he did enjoy other things life had to offer, such as, the Georgia Bulldogs, the Braves & Falcons, playing golf, and fishing. Of all, his love for music and traveling, and especially getting to experience those things with the people he enjoyed most, was his favorite way to spend his time and show his love. If you had the honor to have known Greg you knew you had a true friend.
Greg is survived by his beloved wife, Elly Yampierre; his daughters Erica Godwin (Tyler), Lexi Yampierre, and Alissa Polk (Ryan); his father C.C. Fortner; his sister Rhonda Tucker (Craig); his granddaughter Olivia Godwin, his nieces Whitney Tucker and Cheyenne Tucker. He was preceded in death by his mother Carol Fortner. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Greg's memory may be made to American Cancer Society, cancer.org; or to the Wellstar Foundation, wellstar.org/community/foundation.
