“Jerry” as family and friends called him, was born on February 15, 1937 to Carrinee and James Green in Broxton, Ga. After attending Broxton High School, he then attended South Georgia College and went on to finish his Pharmacy degree at Mercer University in Atlanta.
After graduation, Jerry owned and operated Canton Road Drug Co., in Marietta, Ga and it was there he became respected, trusted and liked by so many. Jerry was a pharmacist in Marietta for over forty years.
In addition to Pharmacy, Jerry was active in the Piedmont Lions Club, served on the Cobb County School Board and The Kennestone Hospital Authority. Jerry also loved golf and he had the opportunity to play at many amazing golf courses across the USA, Dominican Republic and Scotland. He shared his passion for golf with his sons and everyone who knew him. After retiring from Pharmacy, Jerry had more time to pursue his love of family, travel, working in the yard and golf.
Jerry was predeceased by his parents, James and Carrinee. He is survived by his wife Senny, his three children, Deanna, Jerry, Doug, five step children, Dee, Joe, Margret, Susan, Mary Katheryn, sixteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
He will forever be missed. The family will be having a private celebration of life to honor him.
