George Bernard Johnson, age 81, of Acworth, Georgia passed away on Monday, September 18, 2023. George was a devoted and loving husband to his wife Faye for 17 years, also was a loving, brother, father, uncle and grandfather. He served his county in the US Air Force, retired from IBM. George enjoyed traveling, to the mountains and going to the beach, but most of all he enjoyed playing golf. He will be loved and missed by all that knew him.
George is survived by his wife, Faye Johnson; his daughters, Katie Johnson (Vicki), Holly Moon and husband Ronnie; sister, Dr. Catherine Stuzynski and her husband Dr. Edward Stuzynski; grandchild Alex Moon; nephews, Michael Stuzynski, Stephen Stuzynski; and niece Kristen Stuzynski.
George was preceded in death by his parents George R. and Marie Zimmerman Johnson.
A public visitation for George will be held Friday, September 22, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM.
