Frances "Gerri" Geraldine (Mitchell) McLeod, age 77, of Marietta, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. Gerri was born March 16, 1944 in Chattanooga, Tennessee to Neva Ruth Allen Mitchell and Jesse Jerome Mitchell. Gerri was a devoted Christian, wife, and homemaker whose greatest joy was found in helping others. She was a rare jewel that always put others care and comfort before her own. She demonstrated love through action every day.
Gerri is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Fred Allen McLeod; her daughter, Sandra and her husband Michael Cagliani of Powder Springs, Georgia; her daughter, Susan McLeod-Giroux and husband Steven Harper of Hiram, Georgia; her sister, Debbie and her husband DJ Brown of Macon, Georgia; her eight grandchildren and her eight great grandchildren.
Gerri was preceded in death by parents, Jesse Jerome Mitchell and Neva Ruth Allen Mitchell.
A Celebration of Life service for Gerri will be held Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 11:30 AM at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home chapel, 2950 North Cobb Pkwy, Kennesaw, Georgia 30152. A visitation will occur Saturday, February 5, 2022 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, at the funeral home. A graveside service will occur Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery, 3969 Mercer University Dr., Macon, Georgia 31204.
