Edna Fine Chambers passed away on November 9, 2018 at the age of 85. Family, Friendship and Kindness were at the core of her values while impacting many on her journey. She was born in Dandridge, Tennessee on Dec 30, 1932 to Paul and Jessie Fine.
She is survived by three children, Mike Chambers (Deborah) of Byron, GA, Lisa Najdowski (Jerry) of Roswell, GA, Kevin Chambers (Wendy), of Statesboro, GA; 7 grandchildren, David Chambers, Amanda Woodruff, Matthew Najdowski, Morgan Najdowski, Christopher Chambers, Danielle Kelly and Alexander Chambers; and 5 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Fred Chambers and son Ed Chambers (Donna).
Edna grew up in a large, loving family that consisted of nine other siblings. After high school graduation and working for Y-12 National Security in Oak Ridge, Edna joined the United States Air Force and was a Korean War veteran. After military service, she married Fred Chambers in 1955 and together they created a loving, family-focused home until his passing in 2001. Edna was an adventurer as she traveled extensively throughout the United States. She enjoyed reading and quilting and was a devoted member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church. Her faith was always present, as prayer and her reading of the Bible were daily occurrences. She placed her life and trust in the hands of God until her last day and throughout her amazing life. She had a wonderful sense of humor and an amazingly sweet personality and was loved and cherished by all who knew her.
