Mrs. Doris Elizabeth Spruell Stone, age 83 of Kennesaw, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2021. She was born in Atlanta to Jesse and Katherine Spruell on March 13, 1937.
Married 57 years to Jerry Stone, she served as his greatest source of support, serving as the office manager in their business, his music ministry partner as his organist and pianist, and most of all, his faithful wife. She excelled as a loving mother and grandmother, was an outstanding educator and dedicated member of Summit Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Kathy (Jimmy) Slick and Jerilyn (Rick) Winther; two sisters, Dorothy Spruell Sims and Clara Spruell (Wayne) Bagley; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration Service will be scheduled at a later date.
