Donald Lawrence Bothem, III passed away on July 23, 2024, at the age of 54 in Atlanta,Georgia. Born on June 17, 1970, in Seoul, Korea, Donald grew to be a loving husband, father,and grandfather, cherished for his dedication to his family and his hardworking nature. Donald proudly served in the United States Army for ten years, demonstrating significant commitment and discipline. Following his military service, he transitioned to a civilian career where he excelled as an Assistant Terminal Manager for Estes Express Lines. Donald enjoyed his time as a little league umpire, a role that allowed him to engage with and contribute positively to the youth in his community. He could also be found spending time with his family, cooking, walking with his goldendoodles, Hank and Reggie, and cheering on his favorite sports teams. Donald was a parishioner of Saint Catherine of Siena in Kennesaw, Ga. He is survived by his wife, Michele; children, Brandon Bothem (Brianna) and Zachary Bothem; grandchildren, Braylon and Bearett Bothem; siblings, Melanie (Roman) Bothem and Johnnie (Jericka) Bothem; parent-in-laws, Diane Montani and Arthur(Lynn) Montani; sister-in laws,Aimee (Matt) Wilson, Erin (Jeff) Burns, Danielle Fedele; brother-in-law, Jon (Megan) Montani; 16nieces and nephews; and a large extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents,Donald Bothem Jr. and Pok Tong Bothem, and his sister, Melina Escobar. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Donald's memory can be made to the Salvation Army. The Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw, Georgia, is assisting the family during this difficult time.
