David Lusk

Mr. David Lusk, 88, of Marietta, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2012. Funeral service will be held Saturday, April 21, 2012, 2pm at Piney Grove Baptist Church, 1605 Mars Hill Rd Acworth, GA 30101 with Revs. Larry Davis, Thomas Hawkins and Harold Weatherford officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow at the Church Cemetery. Mr. Lusk will lie in state at the Church on Saturday from 1pm-2pm.

Born in Hickory Flats, GA, Mr. Lusk moved to Cobb County at a very young age. He was a WWII Veteran having served our Country in the Army and obtained the rank of Corporal. He had retired from Lockheed in 1987 after 23 years where he was an Electrical Fabrication Inspector. Mr. Lusk was a longtime member of Piney Grove Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Carrie Lois Lusk, in May of 2011.

Those who survive Mr. Lusk are his children, Son – Lamar Lusk of Cleveland, GA, Daughter – Mary and Husband Bud Rolader of Marietta; Sister – Mamie L. Pendley of Dalton; Grandchildren – Tim Rolader, Matt Rolader, Dan Rolader, Cammi Lusk, Spencer Lusk and Park Lusk; Great Grandchildren – Lacey Rolader, Alex Rolader, Paige Rolader and Abbie Rolader.

The Family will receive Friends on Friday, April 20, from 2pm – 4pm and 6pm – 9pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Gideon Memorial Bible Ministries, PO 841 Marietta, GA 30060 in memory of David Lusk.
