David's life was one filled with love for his family and an unwavering dedication to hard work. After serving his country in the Air Force with honor, he pursued a career in construction and carpentry. His hands were skilled at crafting beautiful things from wood and metal; he could build anything he set his mind to. David's passion for creating extended beyond his professional life - he found joy in spending time with close friends and family, outdoors surrounded by nature and spending hours in his shop making things and just enjoying the day or sitting on the porch of his shop watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren run and play.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him but especially by those closest to him: his wife Golda Jacqueline Wood-Ellis; stepson Monte Allen Wood; stepdaughter Cherry Ann Charles; Grandchildren Tyler Wood, Spencer Wood, Kelley Casey And Haley Martinez; 10 Great-Grandchildren Colin, Finnegan, Tobin, Maclin and Breccan Casey, Jocelyn Martinez, Aminah and Sophia Al-Mashahdani, Parker And Lily Wood.
David had a larger-than-life personality that drew people towards him wherever he went. His sense of humor was infectious as he regaled friends and family with wild tales that often left them wondering if they were true or not. He had a way of making everyone around him feel special through laughter and storytelling.
His passing leaves an unfillable void in the hearts of those who loved him most dearly. However, David's legacy lives on through the memories shared among family members during their cherished moments together.
The impact David made during his lifetime is immeasurable – from the love he gave freely to the wisdom imparted upon those around him. His spirit will continue to guide us as we navigate this world without his physical presence.
In honoring David's memory let us remember not only the loss we feel but also celebrate the incredible man whose kindness touched so many lives.
