David Franklin Barnes

David Franklin Barnes, age 75, of Douglasville, GA passed away, Friday, December 16, 2022. He was born on June 29, 1947 the son of the late Elbert Barnes and the late Ruby Booth Barnes of Marietta, GA. Mr. Barnes was a loving husband and companion for 52 years, loving father, grandfather, brother, son, uncle and friend. He was a member of Corinth Baptist church in Loganville, GA. David loved the Lord and shared his faith with everyone he met. He wanted everyone to have the same relationship with Jesus that he did. He was a retired truck driver. He enjoyed hunting, woodworking, and repairing lawn mowers and small engines. He was a "Jack of all trades and a Master of none". David loved his family fiercely. He was a friend to many and never met a stranger.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sister Nancy Elrod.

He is survived by his wife Betty Bennett Barnes; daughters, Stephanie (Mack) Flowers and Rebecca (Keith) Robinson; son, Mitchell (Jennifer) Barnes; brothers, Ernest (Barbara) Barnes, Dennis (Sherry) Barnes and Tony (Marsha) Barnes; sister Linda White (Larry): grandchildren, Luke and Jake Robinson.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw, Georgia. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Pine Ridge Memorial Park.
