Charlotte S. "Mam-Maw" Shannon, age 85 passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2023. Charlotte was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Charlotte is survived by her son Howard Shannon (Cindy); her daughters Sharon Shannon-Adcock (Doug), and Debra Warren (Ronald); her nephew Johnny Schneitman (Jeana); grandchildren Lauren, Joshua, Brooke, Jordan, Jacob, and Callie; great grandchildren Gracie, Ansley, Maddie, Gunter, Kinsley, Kason, Judah, Kohen and baby Charlotte. Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband Mark Howard Shannon; her grandson Mark, and her great granddaughter Karlee.
Charlotte was a homemaker who provided a loving home for her family and friends alike. Her faith was a very important part of her life and she loved Gospel music. Charlotte's time spent with family brought her great joy.
A visitation for Charlotte will be held Wednesday, May 17, 2023 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 2950 North Cobb Pkwy, Kennesaw, Georgia 30152. Chapel service is Thursday, May 18, 2023 at 10:00 am with burial to follow at 2:00 pm, Chattanooga National Cemetery, 1200 Bailey Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Charlotte's memory may be made to Ararat Church, 4336 King Springs Rd SE, Smyrna, Georgia 30082.
