A native of Pontotoc, MS, Mr. Brandon was born on September 17, 1938, the son of the late William Charles and Lorrene Elizabeth Sneed Brandon. He was a 1960 graduate of Mississippi College in Clinton, MS. He was a lifetime Jaycee, was a member of the Senator's Crew. He organized the 1st Special Olympic's in Tulsa, OK. Chuck gave many motivational speeches to youth groups and many prayer breakfast with many churches and state conventions. He was a former member & deacon of the Wildwood Baptist Church.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Ruth McEarley Brandon. His son, Charles Allen Brandon of Dallas, GA., His daughter, Bradlea Reibly of Woodstock, Ga. Five grandchildren; Charles Eason Brandon, Mayson Brandon, Semmie Brandon Brandon Reibly, and Sarah Reibly.
Memorial Life Celebration Services will be held on Sunday January 4, 2015 at 3 p.m. from the Pine Ridge Chapel of the Winkenhofer Funeral Home with Chaplin Robert Ledbetter officiating. Inurnment will follow in PIne Ridge Memorial Park following the service.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1 p.m. until the service hour at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
