Cecil Caudill

CWO4 Cecil Caudill, USAR, 87, of Marietta GA passed peacefully Saturday afternoon September 19th surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 6th, 1928 in Morehead KY to parents Laura & Henry Caudill.

One of the eldest of nine children, Cecil is survived by a loving wife of 62 years Mildred Caudill, siblings: Mary McRoberts (Leo) of Morehead KY and Cleo Caudill (Betty) of Huber Heights OH, daughters: Brenda Pavlak (Mike) of Marietta GA, Melinda Roberts (Jim) of Woodstock GA, and Diana Caudill of Marietta GA. Cecil was blessed with five grandchildren: Mathew Pavlak (Shanna) of Douglasville GA, Lauren Pavlak of Camino CA, Carol Braswell (John) of Waterford PA, Christopher Pavlak of Marietta GA, and Scott Roberts of Woodstock GA, and three great grandchildren: Nicholas Pavlak, Alexandra Pavlak, and Cooper Braswell.

Cecil honorably served his country for 23 years in the U.S. Army Corp. He retired with the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 4. He graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelors and an MBA from GA State University. Cecil excelled as an entrepreneur creating a successful real-estate company and finished his career with a 10 year tenure with the Internal Revenue Service.

Cecil was a member of both the American Legion Post #29, Marietta GA and the VFW Post #2681, Marietta GA. Even after his retirement, Cecil continued to work with the elderly, assisting with tax planning and preparation. He was active in the Must Ministries of Marietta GA, and the Meals on Wheels program. Cecil regularly attended services with his wife Mildred at Willeo Baptist Church in Roswell GA.

The family will be receiving guests Tuesday September 22nd from 4:00 to 6:00pm at the Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home * 2950 Cobb Pkwy NW, Kennesaw, GA 30152 * (770) 422-7299. Funeral services will be held at the same location on Wednesday September 23rd at 2:00pm with Dr. Larry Braley officiating. Interment will follow with full military honors at Pine Ridge Memorial Park..
