Carolyn retired from Cobb County Board of Education in 2010 where she worked as a middle school custodian. Prior to that she worked at Kennestone Hospital and McLauran Factory Outlet. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary where she formed may lasting friendships. She never met a stranger and always spoke what was on her mind.
Carolyn’s favorite hobbies were reading and playing bingo. When she was blessed with a win, she always made sure to split her jackpot with whoever she was playing with. She had such a giving heart, even when she didn’t have much herself. Her greatest love were her two boys and her four grandchildren. Not a day went by where she didn’t reach out just to say hello and ask how they were doing. She was so proud of her family and cherished every get together. When it came to potlucks, she had to bring the mashed potatoes because no one made them better. Anytime she was able, she would be at the ballpark cheering for her granddaughters.
Along with her parents, Carolyn is preceded in death by her sister, Janet Price and her brother, David Dunn. She is survived by her son, Michael Blair and his wife, Kelly, of Kennesaw Ga; son, Joel Blair and his wife, Marlene, of Taylorsville Ga; grandchildren, Katie (Sean) Clare, Kasey Blair, Brandi Blair, Justin Blair; great granddaugher, Alaina Clare; sister, Martha-Jean (Calvin) Grogan; brothers, Thomas (Sue) Dunn, Jerry (Linda) Dunn and Kenny (Debbie) Dunn and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
