Candace “Candy” Ellison, 59, of Kennesaw, died Thursday, July 2, 2015. Funeral service will be held Sunday at 4pm from the Chapel of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw with Pastor Cory Hallett officiating. Burial will follow at Kennesaw City Cemetery.
Candy has been employed by Cobb County Government since 1998 and had served as County Clerk since 2009. Her greatest joy in life was being a wife and mother who provided a loving home which she shared with family and friends.
Candace was preceded in death by her father Donald Davis White. Survivors include her husband – Tony Ellison of Kennesaw, daughter – Laura Ellison of Smyrna, mom & dad – Jay and Elena Dye of Kennesaw, sisters – April Starnes of Acworth and Lindi Dye of Kennesaw, brothers – Stan and Pat Dye of Kennesaw.
The family will receive friends Saturday at the funeral home from 5pm to 8pm.
