Camryn was a very smart and hardworking young man. He attended South Paulding High School in Douglasville then went on to work for several different places such as Waffle House and BB’s Restaurant. He was a devoted member of Greers Chapel Baptist Church and always shared the love of Jesus with everyone he met. Camryn was an excellent guitar player, even teaching himself how to play. Some of his favorite pass times were watching old cartoons, football and basketball, and playing video games. Camryn’s greatest attribute was his strength and perseverance through some very difficult times; never complaining and always shedding light on tough situations. Camryn was a wonderful, son, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend; he will certainly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Camryn is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, James E. Higdon and his maternal grandfather, James Ayers.
He is survived by his parents, James Higdon and Kim Ayers Higdon; paternal grandmother, Ann L. Higdon of Kennesaw, GA.; maternal grandparents, Faye and Charlie Arrowood; one sister, Camilya and her husband Hunter Dunlop of Douglasville, GA.; one niece, Brinleigh Dunlop; three aunts, Sonya Dills of Danielsville, GA, Shannon and Merrill Reinecke of Bethlehem,GA,and Jamie and David Roberts of Cartersville, GA; two uncles, Shane Ayers of Marietta, GA and Dean Ayers of Kennesaw, GA; several cousins, extended family members and friends also survive.
A funeral service to honor the life of Camryn Higdon will be held at one o’clock in the afternoon on Friday, September 1, 2017 in the Chapel of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home with Rev. David Huggins and Rev. Bobby Therrell officiating. Interment will follow at four-thirty in the Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery in Blue Ridge, GA.
A visitation with the family will take place from five o’clock in the afternoon until eight on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home.
The following gentlemen have been requested to serve as pallbearers, Mike Dills, Kyle Vanderhorst, Joseph Vanderhorst, Billy Brooks, Blake Eagle, Robbie Snipes, Jordan Cochran, and Bruce Sullivan.
