At a young age he moved to Marietta, Georgia where he grew up and attended Sprayberry High School. He then furthered his education at North Metro Technical College in Acworth, Georgia. He worked doing IT support for a large international tech company. He was also self taught in Linux. He was active in and co-lead a weekly Linux meetup group where he was able to share and grow in his expertise.
Brian loved animals, especially cats and birds, and spending time in nature. He enjoyed camping and fishing with friends and riding his new motorcycle for off roading. He was also a successful bee keeper and loved sharing honey with family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Thomas E. Ferguson and Alma U. Ferguson, paternal grandparents Harold M. Thomas and Katie M. Thomas, and cousin James E. Webb.
He is survived by his parents Thomas M. Thomas and Carol E. Thomas, brother Christopher S. Thomas and wife Jaime, nephew Ryan E. Thomas, and Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and their families.
Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 7th, 2024 at 3pm. Visitation with the family will begin at 2pm.
