Boyd L. Saunders, Sr., age 74, died Saturday, December 3, 2016. Funeral service is Wednesday at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home beginning at 11am with Pastor Robert Ledbetter officiating. Burial will follow at Pineridge Memorial Park in Kennesaw. Mr. Saunders was preceded in death by his wife Peggy Anne Saunders.
Boyd was an Educator and completed his career with Chattahoochee Technical College in the administration department as a Student Advisor. He loved the outdoors where he could be found hunting, fishing, golfing, shooting skeet, or just spending time with his dogs. An accomplished marksman, Mr. Saunders shot in many Skeet Shooting Competitions. Born in Alcoa, TN, Boyd became, and remained, an avid Tennessee Volunteer fan. Mr. Saunders was of the Baptist Faith and a member of Sandy Plains Baptist Church in Marietta.
Surviving are his children: son – Boyd L. Saunders, Jr. and his daughter – Jennifer Jackson, along with his two grandchildren – Gabriel Jackson & Lucas Saunders.
