Billie Louella Wells, 86, Marietta resided died Sunday, September 25, 2016. Funeral services will be at 1p.m. Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at Kennesaw United Methodist Church. Mrs. Wells will lie in state from 12-1pm. Burial will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta.
Mrs. Wells was very active in the church for 60 years. Those 60 years at the church were spent educating children, participating in a women’s group, and starting a senior citizen group. Mrs. Wells enjoyed spending time writing children’s stories, sewing, and knitting. She traveled all over the United States, but her favorite destination was the Smokey Mountains. She was well known by everybody was “Sweetie.”
Survivors include her loving husband of 63 years – Ora Wells; Daughter – Karen (Greg) Milligan; Son – David (Rebecca) Wells; Grandsons – James (Jolene) Milligan, Keith (Sarah) Milligan, Carl (Meredith) Milligan; and Great-grandchildren – Joseph, Levi, Sydney, Reid, and Afton.
The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 from 6-8pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw.
