Betty Ruth Turner, 73, of Acworth, passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2013. Funeral service is scheduled for Friday, January 11, 11 am at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw with Rev. Jesse Summey officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty Hill Cemetery in Acworth.
A lifelong resident of Acworth Betty Ruth loved her family and enjoyed a good laugh, which if you knew her was one of her trademarks. She was of the Baptist Faith and played the piano for many years in the Church. Betty Ruth worked for many years with Yancey Brothers and retired from the Cobb County Board of Education. In her spare time, she loved to travel with her kids and on occasion, you could find her bowling with family and friends. Betty Ruth believed in family first and all who met her through life’s journey was better for it.
Her three Sons – Randy Pendergrass of Buchanan, Ronnie Pendergrass of Marietta, and Mitchell Pendergrass of Dallas; 7 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren survive Betty Ruth. The Family will receive Friends on Thursday, January 10, from 6 – 9 pm at the Funeral Home.
