Ann Chandler, 78, of Kennesaw, passed away Monday, March 24, 2014. Funeral service is Thursday, 11am at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw. Burial will follow at Pineridge Memorial Park. The family is receiving friends on Wednesday, from 5 – 8pm at the funeral home.
Mrs. Chandler was a retired Cobb County Elementary School Teacher. She was a longtime member of Kennesaw First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school. Ann was instrumental in beginning the first Bible Study at Pine Mountain Middle. Additionally, she coached basketball during her teaching career. Ann will be remembered by her family as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and phenomenal cook.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Mitchell Chandler, daughter Wanda and husband Charles Rogers, son Stan and wife Cherie Chandler, grandchildren Kya and husband Dan Branan, Zach Chandler, great grandchildren Seth and Trinity Branan. Additional survivors include her siblings Delilah Brown, Hubert King, Clarice Irvin, and Barry King.
