Alvin Morris, son of the late George Morris and Rosella Clarke-Morris, was born on July 26, 1938 in the parish of St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. He was called home to his eternal rest on August 16, 2020 at his residence.
Alvin grew up in New Market, St. Elizabeth, where he attended Nightingale Grove High School. After leaving high school, he pursued his occupation as a shoemaker in Kingston, Jamaica, where he met his beloved wife, Dorothy Annetta Malcolm. They exchanged their vows in October 26, 1962, and later migrated to the United Kingdom. This union was blessed with five children. After 21 years in the United Kingdom, Alvin and his family migrated and settled in the United States.
His beautiful life will be cherished forever by his loving and dedicated wife of 58 years and his five awesome children; Carolyn Morris, Anthony Morris and spouse Colisa, Janice Shaw and spouse Peter, Barrington Morris, Mark Morris and spouse Fay; eight grandchildren, Samantha Waldron, Sherrell Morris, Robert Ellis, Nicole Gibbons, Nathaniel Shaw, Cheyanne Morris, Natalie Shaw and Monique Morris; nine great grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; sisters: Leila Morgan and Enid Thomas; brother, Neville Morris.
Alvin was a devoted husband and an amazing father and grandfather. He was a warm and kindhearted person whose passion was to help others. He lived his life to the fullest and was loved by everyone. Alvin will be forever missed by all who knew him.
