Marjorie Lukinovich Hrapmann

She was a loving mother of Kenny (Patty), Bob (Terry), Danny (Yvonne) and Bill (Jackie) Hrapmann. She is survived and adored by ten grandchildren Tricia DeAun Hrapmann, John Hrapmann, Shannon McBride (Shay), Jana Goodwin, Jessie Frank (Nick), Rebecca Velez (Andrew), Renee’ Dozier (Brian), Danny Hrapmann (Kyndal), Chad Hrapmann and Lisette Hrapmann and 8 great grandchildren.

Predeceased by her husband of 53 years William J. Hrapmann, her parents Peter M. Lukinovich and Marguerite Kiefer, her brother Peter M. Lukinovich, Jr. and sister in law Marie H. Lukinovich.

After graduating from the Academy of Holy Angels she was employed by the U.S Department of Agriculture through World War II. After marrying in 1948 she began an active life of raising four sons and giving encouragement along the way. In later years some of her most enjoyable times were visiting and babysitting her grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing, especially clothes for her grandchildren. Margie was passionate for gardening as well as crafts and believed it is never too late to learn a new craft as she did into her 80’s and 90’s.

Special thanks to her nieces Mary Wahden and Kathleen Jenkins for their lifelong care and friendship to Nannan. Also thanks and appreciation to Marijke Whitaker and the staff at St. Anthony’s for their care in her last few months.

A private funeral was recently held at St. Pius X Catholic Church with interment in Lake Lawn Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made in her name to Holy Cross School 5500 Paris Ave. New Orleans, LA 70122.
