NOWAK - Walter J. “Wally”; June 8, 2013, beloved son of the late Andrew and Mary (nee Cook) Nowak; brother of the late Mabel (Walter) Heinz, Andrew (Bernice) Norwalk, Josephine (Sydney) White, Frank (Pearl) Nowak, Anna (Henry) Deck, Margaret Nelson, Teresa, William, Bessie and Albert Nowak; also survived by many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews; dear friend of Edie Schurr. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 9:15 at St. Andrew’s Church, 1525 Sheridan Dr., Kenmore, NY. Wally served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force in Antigua as a Weather Observer, was a 40-year employee of Westinghouse and a member of their golf league. Wally was an avid bowler, sportsman, golfer, and charter member of the Town of Tonawanda Aquatic Center.
