Dear Fran and Family,

Sending condolences and love to you and your family in remembrance of John. We were truly fortunate to have had him as a friend. He was always so kind and thoughtful. A true gentleman.  I can see his smile and hear his laugh as I recall the many times we enjoyed both of your company at various gatherings. 

May God bless you and your family and may we all keep the wonderful memories close to our hearts.

I’m very sorry for John’s loss. I have great memories of him visiting along with you folks on Liberty Street. 

It is difficult initially as we try to adjust to life without our loved ones. With time, we are only left with good memories. 

I planned to make the trip to Buffalo today. My allergies and asthma intervened in those plans, however. 

My best to all of you as well as my first cousins (Christine and Franny) and other close relatives  as you work your way through this.

Fran and family- please accept my deepest condolences on the passing of John. He was one of the kindest, most compassionate men I have ever known, and certainly the best employer I could have ever asked for. He was interested in people and treated everyone with the same level of courtesy, no matter what their station in life. He set an example that we all can learn from!! I think that John's mission in life was to find a home for every dog, and a table for every plate of Fran's delicious food. I hope that your happy memories of him will comfort you in the days to come.

On behalf of the Blessed Trinity School Alumni, we offer prayerful condolences on the passing of your husband, father, brother and grandfather. A member of the Class of 1954, John will be remembered by name at our annual Alumni Memorial Mass at Blessed Trinity Church in the fall of 2022.

I had the privilege of serving as the CEO at Aspire (formerly UCP of WNY) for 19 years. John was on the Board for a number of those early years and served as Treasurer for many of those same years. His interest in Aspire and the individuals and families we served was genuine and the financial guidance he provided was invaluable. Prayers to his family.

I just had a wonderful conversation with John on his birthday. I caught up with him about his son John, Fran and the other  members of his family. He was so proud to be a grandpa! Although I am from the Long Island area we remained close friends. 

I would like to express on behalf of myself and my wife Mary Lou our deepest regrets at the loss of my amazing friend John. Your love of family and friends was your guiding light. And golf too!!

 I have known John for over 30 years. We met at a New York State Society of CPA s' Conference in the Bahamas. He was very kind since it was my first convention. He  took me under his wings to meet others at the conference. I met his beautiful, vibrant wife Fran and others from the Buffallo Chapter where he served as Chapter President. John was a distinguished CPA and leader in the Profession with a deep concern and regard for the clients he served. 

John and I became very close friends after that. Not only was he a close friend, but a Mentor.  
I traveled to the Buffalo area many times over the years. We would dine together and he even attended some of my CPE sessions. But what I remember most was a wonderful trip my wife Mary Lou and I made with him and Frank Giove to Niagra on the Lake one summer. We also would  kid about the Buffalo Bills and the Jets and the Giants.

John, I will always love you and I promise to keep my eye on your beloved wife. 





Fran, John & Scott and family - Carol and I were so saddened and shocked to hear of John's sudden passing.  Have so many memories  of good times growing up and family get togethers at the San Fratello homestead at 140 Liberty St. in Batavia, my parents house, Aunt Minnie's on Wakefield Ave. in Buffalo and of course your own home over the years as we all grew up.  He was always so considerate, funny, calm, and engaging when being around him.  I will always cherish that spirit about him.  May God hold him in the palm of his hand....

Our hearts are left with the great space you occupied….there are no words. 

Will always remember times spent with John.  He was a loving and caring man with a great sense of humor.   We are thinking of the family and send our prayers.   Sincerely Arnold and Karen Kleiman
