I still miss you Eileen, no one to talk to anymore

I worked with Eileen Barry ............funny story .......she always came into icu to ask questions.........but she already knew the answer.........she was the greatest friend and a very conscientious nurse

Eileen, I think of you everyday. I wonder where you are ,if you saw Daniel, We shared a phrase when you were so upset when your husband left  you,do you remember? "You don't know how lucky you are"  and you did prove it before you got sick. You had many adventures.   When you got  sick I said that phrase doesn't apply anymore,and I remember you telling me  it still  applied because you learned a lot from me  when you oriented to icu  but I want you to know how much. Strength you gave me when my husband was killed  When the pandemic started and  I was in one of my helpless moods because all I wanted was to be with Daniel again ,I texted to you "I wish the world would end" and you texted" I don't want the  world to end" With all you went through you still had a positive attitude. Without you I would have ended it Although we didn't see each other once you moved our  communications and times we did see each other are  what prevented me from suicide  I will never forget you and your positive attitude,now I say you don't know how lucky I  was to have you for a friend.I hope to see you soon. Love you and miss you  forever Ellen 

Raising boys in Angola led to meeting Eileen Barry.  Evans Baseball first brought us together.   Long nights at the diamond....
School friendships followed amongst the boys.  Paths overlapped again at St. Anthony's Church in Farnham.   I believe all the boys were students of my 3rd grade Communion Class.  
No matter the event, Eileen had a smile and kind words to share.  I know the boys have great memories of their super mom.
The nursing world lost a wonderful care-giver.

What a beautiful lady! She was a delight, a gentle woman and great mother and grandmother! Eileen was a good friend, always there to listen and give her two cents! What a dazzling smile and cute laugh! My prayer is that we live as she did, with grace, dignity and love in our hearts. Truth and justice. To all of the Barry brothers that I knew growing up - I offer my deepest condolences to you all and your family for your loss. 

Sending heartfelt condolences to Eileens family with prayers for comfort during this most difficult time. I will always remember the smile Eileen had for everyone at work in ICU and how hard she worked to bring comfort to her patients. Eileen made our world a better place. Her smile always became brighter when she spoke of her Sons. She will be remembered fondly. God speed you Eileen. Rest In Peace.

So sorry for your loss Barry  family, I met Eileen at LakeShore Hospital i worked at registration and Eileen walked from med-surg to ask me to change a patients room. She was so polite, calm, and respectful when i was done she said thank you for doing this for me with a big bright smile ! At that moment i know i had a friend . Eileen worked with my kids in ER they loved her later my daughter worked with her at a group home , she took My daughter under her wing. Eileen always said i have wonderful children. She was a wonderful loving person and I thank her for being my friend, i love ❤️ you ! We will meet again fly high with your angel wings Eileen RIP

I first met Eileen while waiting on the Lakeshore High tennis courts for my partner to arrive ! She was volleying with her son , Daniel ! Eileen came over to me and asked if I would like to volley with Daniel ! I said yes! Strangely that was the only time I played with Daniel for about a year ! In fact I had forgotten that encounter ! Daniel began his schooling at Canisius High and one day asked his guidance counselor if he knew anyone who would regularly hit the tennis ball with him! His guidance counselor,  my friend Dave , mentioned me! Thus began our friendship and my subsequent meetings with Eileen ! 
                I truly enjoyed driving out to Angola to play tennis ! Most of all ,I enjoyed the gracious hospitality I received from Eileen!
                 After reading her obituary life story,  I can now see how this generous and gracious welcoming spirit was nurtured within her and shared throughout her life in so many self- sacrificing ways with so many people !
                   St. Matthew's words from the mouth of Jesus in Chpt. 25 at the last judgement certainly apply to Eileen , " When I was hungry..... When I was thirsty... etc you did it to me !" I met Eileen years ago when we both worked at Millard Fillmore Hospital. We became moms at the same time. Although we lost touch over the years, I will always remember her as one of the sweetest, kindest, most thoughtful woman I ever met. I am so sorry for your loss and that this beautiful woman suffered. You are all in my prayers.

Eileen was the RN assigned to the group home where I and many coworkers who became friends and, eventually, family worked. We knew Eileen would fit in well when she got through a  med pour with me. :) We stayed in touch after she left the state and she loved hearing about my son, Bradley. I know how much she loved her sons and her grandchildren. She'll be missed by many. I'm a better person for having known her.

My sincere condolences to Eileen's family for their loss. I knew Eileen first as a baseball Mom, and later on as Mrs. Barry, or Mrs. B. Our boys have been friends for years. Without a doubt my son will miss his conversations with Mrs. B. 

I personally admire Eileen for her strength. She fought a long hard battle in the last few years with dignity and grace.

Eileen Barry a wonderful friend,nurse,mother and generally an all around great person she helped me through a rough time and will never forget her!  She loved her boys always spoke the best. Of them and she fought like heck to beat this disease my sympathy always to her boys your Mom is now a real angel
