I knew Mike almost all my life .  I worked  with him and Charlie at Stovalls Cycle in the late sixties . I was just in high school at the time .  I later raced boats with him and JD Sims until 1989.  I will miss him so much .  He was a mentor and the funniest guy I ever met.

Sandra and Sheila, I remember your daddy from Stovall's Cycle Shop.  My daddy was Charlie Newsom.  He worked with your daddy for many years in the late 60's to the mid 70's.  My daddy passed away in December 2012.  I was sorry to hear about the loss of your daddy.  I have many fond memories of him as a kid.

I knew Mike since the late 70's.  My husband and I raced boats for many years and Mike did all of our engine work. He was a sweet man and very funny. I certainly will miss him. I just heard about his passing today.

Sandra and Sheila your father's vision of life was truly remarkable.  He was indeed an inspiration to all the people who know him.  Nothing is more painful in life as the separation of ones passing.  Accepting a loss is truly difficult, but is just another test of our faith.  My deepest sympathies go out to you both.  May God give you the comfort you seek and may the soul of your dad rest in peace.
