Pat was born on February 25, 1928 in Kemp, Texas to parents Jeff Forest and Louise (Knotts) Hanna and entered into rest October 8, 2015 at the age of 87. Pat graduated high school from Kemp and went on to Baylor University where he earned a BS in management. He served his country in the United States Army after WWII where he was stationed in Italy and became an army tennis champion. Pat loved playing dominoes, especially moon and “42” and going fishing. He was a Christian by faith and a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church of Kemp. Pat was a well known and liked man and will be tremendously missed.
Pat was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 54 years, Billie Jean Patterson Hanna, brother Tom Wallace “Mike” Hanna, and sister, Laura Louise Hanna Reese.
He is survived by sons: James “Mike” Hanna MD. and wife Cletus “Kay” of Huntsville, Mark Hanna of Dallas, Forest Dane Hanna of Midland, daughter, Laura Ann Hanna Peace of Kemp, 4 grandchildren: Christopher Hanna, Seth Jordan Hanna, Nicholas Vilbas, Patrick Peace, special friend, LaRea Miller of Myrtle Springs, other family members and numerous friends.
