Baby Ruth McGee

Baby Ruth McGee was born November 9, 1925 in Bowie, Texas to parents Sammy D. and Ethel Ruth (Haynes) Hoover and entered into eternal rest February 22, 2019 at the age of 93. Baby Ruth was an honest, loving, caring and compassionate woman with a great sense of humor. She was faithful to God and loved her family, friends and life in general. Ruth was a graduate from Montague High School. She was married to Dale Pryor McGee from June 2, 1948 until his passing on June 6, 1992. Her career spanned 25 plus years with Kemp ISD as an Administrative Assistant, retiring in 1987. Baby Ruth was an active member of the community in the Women's Auxiliary, The Red Hat Society and Meals on Wheels. She offered a free tax service, private tutoring and help with houses. She was a member and secretary at Hillcrest Baptist Church. Ruth enjoyed gardening, painting and tea parties. She was an amazing woman who will be missed tremendously by all who knew and loved her.

Baby Ruth is preceded in death by her parents Sammy D. Hoover and Ethel Ruth (Haynes) Hoover, husband Dale Pryor McGee and sister Vivian Covington.

She is survived by; daughter Michelle McDaniel of Kaufman, son Michael McGee of Seven Points, son Mitch McGee and wife Kelley of Kaufman, grandchildren; Austin McDaniel, Erin McDaniel of Kaufman, Gary Ramsey of Seven Points, Kelley Liska and Kyle of Ennis, Michael Dale McGee of Tyler, Ashley Elizondo and Lance of Fort Worth, Lindsey White of Kaufman and Brad White of Little Rock, great-grandchildren; Randa Liska, Cody Wilbanks, Catlin Ramsey and Triston Tawater, numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family members and many more friends.
