I think of your mother often and always with a smile on my face. She was one of the most honest and earthy people I've ever had the joy to meet. My dad was a lucky man to have met Vivian when he did and a smart man to have kept the relationship going for so long. She was truly a blessing for our family and we will always remember her as a bright spot in our lives. Her interest in books, health, science, games, volunteerism, and so very much more always made for excellent conversation. I dare say that dad would try to interrupt us, complaining he couldn't get a word in edgewise - so we let him but it didn't take long for the discussions to begin anew and he was once more counted out (admittedly, it was hard to keep up with all those ideas flying around the room!).
I remember when she turned "EIGHT" - which confused me initially until Jean-Luc said, "you mean EIGHTY?!" And she said, "Yes, eight." 
One evening during a visit with dad, we were excited to hear that it was Vivian's night to pick the restaurant and since we were treating, we asked her to shoot for the moon. She got a mischievous look on her face and said, "well I always wanted to go to a winery for dinner." We jumped on it as iHOP and Perkins weren't very special. Dad tried to switch the whole thing around but nobody was having it, least of all Vivian. She ordered the Ahi Tuna, and when it was set down in front of her, she poked at it with her fork and exclaimed, "it's RAW!" Well let's just say it was fun watching her try to get the server to take it back to the kitchen to cook it. We convinced her to try it but I'm not sure she quite got over the shock before desert came. It was a dinner that brought us much delight and is often chuckled about when ordering Japanese!
Vivian handed me dad's ashes to go and spread them in the spring of 2022 and I'll never forget how hard it was for her to let him go. We shared tears on her front walkway. You must feel that sorrow now as we all feel that loss with you.

Great gran was the most amazing woman I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Her heart was pure and she loved whole heartedly. I'm sorry for your loss of your mother, grandmother and great gran. I know my children will keep Her memory living on. She played such an important role in my kids lives.
