We are sad to announce that Tom passed away peacefully on August 28, 2022. Tom fought a short but valiant battle with Pancreatic cancer. Tom will be forever lovingly remembered by his wife Susan, his daughter Jennifer (Justin), his grandson Cruz; and his sister Brenda (Bob); he was predeceased by his father Ted and his mother Nelly.
Tom’s early childhood was spent in Winnipeg where he was born. He later moved to West Kelowna with his family where he remained, establishing several businesses and his own family.
Tom’s first love was his family and his pride and joy, an envy to many, was his work “shop” where he passionately pursued a variety of interests. He enjoyed many hobbies and activities including car restoration, fine precision woodworking, travelling, the outdoors and camping.
Tom was a consummate collector; his collections were vast, diverse, and ever expanding, particularly following travel excursions.
In keeping with Tom’s wishes, there will be a graveside service for immediate family. In lieu of flowers we would ask you to consider donating to the SPCA or an animal charity of your choice in Tom’s name as Tom was born an animal lover.
We would like to extend our special thanks and appreciation to Interior Health Community nurses, Ann and Crystel.
