Susan Evelyn Silcock

Evelyn was the last of eight born to Sarah and George McClatchey of Portadown County Armagh, Northern Ireland. Evelyn and her late husband, Thomas Silcock, immigrated to Canada in 1953 with their two young children, Maurice (deceased) and Carol. Returning in 1967 to Northern Ireland with her now four children, Evelyn spent the next fourteen years raising her family in Lurgan County Armagh, Northern Ireland. Evelyn and Thomas decided to return to Canada in 1981 and chose Pretty Road, Winfield, as their final home.

For many years, Evelyn provided home care to many friends and residents in Winfield. She loved bingo and also loved travelling with her friends on many coach trips.

Evelyn will be sadly missed by her children, Maurice (deceased [Leslie]), Carol (Bill), Donna (Ken), and Tommy (Mi Riam); grandchildren Leeann, Chad, Erin, Brandon, Daniel and Bradley and great-grandchildren, Austin, Madison, Karson, Nolan and Gabriel.

Cremation will take place at First Memorial Funeral Services with a private memorial service in April 2023 at Lakeview Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Winfield.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Cottonwoods Care Home, 2255 Ethel Street, Kelowna, B.C. V1Y 2Z9.
