KILKUS, Stefania passed away peacefully with family by her side on December 6, 2011 at the Village at Smith Creek. Survived by her loving family; daughter Leila Gavin, granddaughter Janina (Bryan) Cantrell, great granddaughter Ava of San Diego, Ca., son Bob (Diana) Kilkus, granddaughter Colleen, grandson Michael and great granddaughter Mckenzie of Red Deer, AB, son Andy (Marg) Kilkus, granddaughter Mandi (Tim), granddaughters Angela and Karli of Kelowna, granddaughter Stefanie (Bill) Forward, great granddaughter Alina and great grandson Adam of Calgary AB, grandson John (Melanie) Hunter, great granddaughter Jennifer of Kelowna. Sadly predeceased by her husband Michael, daughter Viesia and dear friend Konny Kisielewski. Mom lead an incredible life surviving war torn Europe after which she spent her happiest days raising her family in Watino, AB. She was a wonderful cook and homemaker and made coming home an unforgettable experience to her family and friends. She is fondly remembered as a sweet and gentle woman by everyone who knew her and will be greatly missed. A special thank you to the wonderful staff at Village at Smith Creek residence for their loving care of mom for the last four plus years. Thank you to Dr. Lewke and his staff. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday December 17, 2011 at St. Theresa’s Catholic Parish at 11:00 AM, 750 N Rutland Road with Father Otto Rollheiser OMI officiating.
