Sandra Margaret Henderson

Sandra Margaret Henderson (Hopper) was born in Kitchener, Ontario on March 13, 1940. She is predeceased by her mother and father and her late husband Wallace Henderson. She will be lovingly missed by her brother Warren (Maryanne), her children Keith (Jennifer), Debbie (Nick), Linda, Andrea (Jamie) stepsons Brian and Dennis (Barb), 12 grandchildren, 15 ½ great-grandchildren, 2 nieces and family in Ontario.

Sandy began her journey in Ontario and ended her journey in Kelowna, British Columbia.

She travelled by train with her four young children ages 1, 5, 7 and 9 to meet up with her first husband (Robert Moore deceased 2023 to start a new life in Vancouver.

She met Wally while she worked at Cottrell Forwarding in Vancouver, they later married and spent many happy years together – travelling and entertaining and enjoying time with family. Their faith in God made them stronger together. They moved to Kelowna where she worked at Western Star until she retired. Her many hobbies included painting which she loved with all her heart. She belonged to the CWL for many years and became a devoted Fransican. Sandra was also a member of the Palette Club. She leaves behind many wonderful friendships.

Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 31st at 10:00 am at Corpus Christi Parish, 750 Rutland Road N.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to a charity of choice in the name of Sandra Henderson.
