Ronald J. Taylor, beloved husband, father, and renowned winemaker, passed away peacefully on October 22nd, 2024 at the age of 82 in Kelowna, B.C. Born in 1942, Ron's life was marked by his deep passion for the art of winemaking and his enduring commitment to his family and friends.
A master of his craft, Ronald dedicated his career to creating exceptional wines, building a legacy that continues to inspire those in the industry. His meticulous attention to detail, coupled with a true appreciation for the land and its bounty, made him a respected figure among vintners and wine enthusiasts alike.
Beyond his professional achievements, Ronald's greatest joy was his family. He was a devoted husband to Joni Graham, with whom he shared a love and partnership that spanned decades. Together, they created a warm and welcoming home, where love and laughter were constants.
Ronald was a proud father to his two children, Lisa and Chad, and a loving stepfather to Colin and Skip Millan. Ron is survived by his brother, Glenn, and his sister and brother-in-law, Lorraine and Gary Welford. His kindness, wisdom, and unwavering support will forever be cherished by his family, who remember him as a man of integrity and quiet strength.
In his leisure time, Ronald enjoyed the simple pleasures of life—good food, tending to his garden, and spending time with his grandchildren, who fondly knew him as Grumps! His legacy will continue to live on through the lives he touched and the wines he crafted.
Ronald J. Taylor will be dearly missed, but his spirit remains in the hearts of those who knew him and in the vines and barrels that bear witness to his life's work.
