The moment that you left me, my heart was split in two; one side was filled in memories and the other side died with you. I love you so much honey buns.
Rick is survived by his soul mate of 36 years Burney Miller, two stepsons Chris and Mark Olivier, granddaughters, Faith and Isabelle Olivier, his daughter in-law Mhey Olivier, his brothers, Marty and Buddy Spencer, his uncle Jim, the Spencer family and extended family Essie, Mac, Willy, Sammy, and Noreen.
Rick met Burney at a jobsite 36 years ago and when he asked her out on a date, she kicked him in the stomach and he rolled into a ditch (love at first sight for him). Through all their hardships and turmoil, they shared a special deep love for each other like no other, no matter the circumstances.
We couldn’t have asked for a better stepfather. We were truly blessed to have Rick in our lives for the past 36 years. Rick was always there for us from our teenage years to adulthood. When you needed to talk or needed support, he was there for you.
Rick had many accomplishments in his life. In 2000, he went back to acquire his Addiction Counselling Training, Human Service Worker, Management Skills for Supervisors, Personal Management Skills and many more. Out of all his accomplishments, his proudest moment was completing his grade 12. Rick was exceptional at what he did with his life experiences. He retired in 2020.
Rick (Mag) will be missed dearly by his family and loved ones.
