In time, the onion farm flourished and he had up to 22 acres of onions from Walla Walla Spanish sweet onions (sole provider for the P.N.E.), silverskins to winter onion that would last until next season. Once they outgrew the home place, Oscar oversaw the developing and sub-dividing of residential lots.
