Mary Wieshlow

Leaving her family and friends profoundly saddened, our mother Mary passed away peacefully at home as she wished with her daughter Kathleen at her side, and has gone to be with her baby daughter Judith, husband Al and son Ron (Rhonda) in eternal peace. Born in Brandon, Manitoba to David and Minnie Johnston in the spring of 1927, Mom acquired her faith in God, family and friends that she kept throughout her life. Joining her RCMP husband Al in Campbell River, BC in 1952, Mom lived an adventurous and interesting life. Proud of her Irish Heritage, she never missed a chance to celebrate. Whether hearing of big kitties on the golf course in Port Alice or meeting bears on the back porch in Bralorne, Mom cheerfully and hopefully looked forward to the next day, brand new and with no mistakes yet. Finally returning to Kelowna and putting down roots, Mom and Dad enjoyed retirement. After Dad passed, she became part of the Ridgeview Church family. Her sons Patrick (Debra), Michael and daughter and soulmate Kathleen (Arne), live with the many happy memories of our time together. Cherished always and never forgotten by her grandchildren Justin (Jessica) and great grandchildren Lexie, Nicholas, Nash and Madison. Mom, you remain always in our hearts as our mother, mentor, confidante and friend. You loved unconditionally and were loved unconditionally. We know your beautiful blue eyes will watch over us and we will meet again. Rest in the palm of God's hand.
