Rest in peace, dear Aunt Mary.  
I'll miss our phone calls, that kind voice on the other end that made me feel special. There was always a tender embrace, a kind word and big smile when we'd meet.
As a child there was this confidence, this assurance I had because Aunt Mary was my godmother.

Granny Mary was an amazing women who has left behind a wonderful legacy. She was larger than life and lived life to the fullest. Now that she has gone, may all the beautiful memories be a blessing to all who knew and loved her. 
We would hereby wish to thank Pam for honoring us as a family, the opportunity of meeting this phenomenal person. We cherish the time spent with her and carry the memories created. 
On a personal note, I will surely miss receiving her voice notes and hearing her laughter (love you Naz)

My Dear Aunt Mary, the past couple of years you and I have shared some great telephone conversations and always had lots of laughs and just reminiscing. 
I had a strong connection to you and My heart always felt your emptiness for family as my daughter lives far away just not as far as South Africa of course. 
Our conversations and chats had always become quite lengthy as I felt your loneliness. You always expressed how much you missed your beautiful Mama Ziegler
and our truly amazing Grandmother. I could really see your resemblance to Gramma as you aged, I think she too had that spark like a little firecracker just as you did.
Your faith has always remained solid in saying, 
“When it's our time the Lord will welcome each of us”.
I know you are no longer in pain. I love you and may you Rest In Peace.


Rest in Peace my lovely little friend. There is no pain or sadness where you are now. You became my First Friend in Canada when I immigrated 21 years ago. I've noticed your beautiful blue eyes and lovely smile while shopping in a store. You noticed my South African accent, and we bonded.  Over the years we shared stories, memories, many jokes and laughter. We both have daughters, which made our connection stronger as well. I will miss your lovely presence, your witty  'wise-cracks'  and our deep conversation about life in general.
You moved away, but we kept our friendship over the phone. Rest In Peace lovely soul...I will miss you, but I know we'll meet again.
