It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness we announce the passing of Martin Linder on May 21, 2022, in Kelowna, BC. Born in Esslingen, Germany to Karl and Hedwig Linder. Raised in Germany, he came to Canada in 1952 on a ship landing in Montreal.
He made his way across Canada stopping in Southern Manitoba and then onto Alberta where he purchased his first farm for a $1.00 in Styal, Alberta. In 1963 he met June and married her in 1964 and in 1966 he moved his family to Kelowna, BC. He attended night school to obtain his professional CGA designation, he was the secretary-treasurer for BC Tree Fruits Ltd for many years retiring in 1993. He enjoyed many years of travel in Europe and Mexico with his wife. He loved investing, gardening, and collecting antiques.
He will be greatly missed, leaving a hole in our hearts forever, he was a wonderful husband and the best Dad ever. He is survived by his loving wife June of 58 years, his last remaining sibling Hermann residing in Germany, his children, and grandchildren.
He’s now happy in the big tree in the sky, we will see you there one day.
There will be a private service.
