It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Karl Lau at age 89.
He leaves behind his stepson Peter Mehler and granddaughter Samantha as well as his sons Eddie and Eric and daughter Christine (Bost). Karl was predeceased by his wife Inge and his first wife Irene.
Karl came to Canada in the 1950’s and worked as a butcher, eventually opening up Chalet Meat & Delicatessen in Calgary and a meat processing plant in Olds. He retired in Westbank in the late 1980’s.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
