Julius Kuhn

Born October 4, 1906 in Whitemouth, Manitoba to Julius Kuhn Sr. and Paulina Buss Kuhn and passed to his rest on February 25, 2011 at Sutherland Hills Rest Home in Kelowna. He was 104 years old last October. Julius became a Seventh-day Adventist in 1929 and a charter member of the Whitemouth German SDA Church. In 1943 the family moved to Rutland, BC. He was an orchardist, a logger, and a builder. He did considerable work on the new Orchard City Church. Julius was predeceased by his loving wife Olga, and survived by his daughter Dorothy Holm, sons- Lloyd (Ida) Kuhn and Dr. Levi (Rosemarie) Kuhn, 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild, sister-in-law Martha Kuhn, many nieces and nephews. A special thanks to nephew Leroy (Evelyn) Kuhn who watched over him for a number of years. What a glorious reunion when Jesus comes again! A Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at the Rutland Seventh-day Adventist Church, 130 Gerstmar Road. Viewing will take place 1 hour prior to service at the church, Interment to follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
