HALL: Joyce Pauline. With great sadness, we announce the loss of our beloved mother. She was predeceased by her husband, Art; her parents Johnny and Lena; her grandson, Keenan; and her great-grandson, Carson. Joyce is survived by her sons Verne (Shelley), Steven (Theresa), and Christopher (Angela); grandchildren Brody, Hali and Taryn; her sister, Linda; her brothers Bob and Frank; and many nieces, nephews and great grandchildren.
Joyce was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. A quietly passionate woman, she was a true friend to everyone. She was the salt of the earth…. always creating, whether it was canning or baking, making beautiful cross-stitch or embroidery, painting pottery pieces, sewing, crocheting or beading. She was always busy but ready to stop her project for a cup of coffee and a chat…and a good laugh! Then she would get dinner going, and head back to her puzzle, or a new project. Supper’s ready!
Mom always took an interest in everyone’s homesteading projects, (even though she thought we were crazy, having been there herself!) She loved seeing all of her kin fulfilling their dreams. Joyce had a strong work ethic, yet she enjoyed her well-deserved retirement.
A true friend and beautiful soul, who was greatly loved and will be deeply missed.
We will honour Joyce at a Celebration of Life, which will be held at First Memorial Services, 1211 Sutherland Avenue, Kelowna on Friday, April 12 @ 11 am. Small reception to follow.
If you wish, flowers may be sent directly to the funeral home, or donations in her memory, in lieu of flowers, may be sent to Diabetes Canada.
