Anne, as she was better known, was born in Birmingham, England, on 3 March 1937 to John and Annie (nee Richards) Peulevé.
Anne attended boarding school at Our Lady’s Convent in Southam and later went to secretarial college at Mid-Warwickshire College of Further Education in Leamington Spa. In 1963, Anne married her late husband, Brian. They made a home together in Leamington Spa until they emigrated to Canada in 2016 to be closer to their daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren.
Anne’s working career started at the National Farmers Union and ended at DÜRR GB when she retired after a long and fulfilling career.
Anne was a real social butterfly and was always ready for a friendly chat and a “nice, hot, cup of tea”. As well as being a classical music aficionado, she was a keen bridge player, an active member of the local townswomen’s guild and keep fit club. She travelled extensively throughout Britain and Europe with her friends, and when at home she spent many hours in her garden or reading the Sunday newspapers. Her sense of humour and genuine love of getting to know people never left her, even in old age and suffering from dementia. She will be dearly missed.
Anne was preceded in death by her parents, her brother John, and her twin sister Margaret. She is mourned by her surviving family members, Joanne, Jonathan, Ian, Toshi, Sasha, and Jake.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Anne’s caregiving team at Spring Valley Care Centre for the exceptional care and kindness given to Anne during her stay there.
As there will not be a funeral service, the family asks that in lieu of flowers you make a donation in memory of Anne to Plan International an organization that works on righting gender inequality, something which Anne was very passionate about.
