He is survived by his wife Brenda, his daughters Jennifer and Tina (from a previous marriage), and brother Neil (Lynn).
Born and raised in Vancouver, his boyhood interests were scouts, model railroading and especially airplanes. After graduating from Lord Byng Secondary School in 1961, he served in the Royal Canadian Air force doing aircraft mechanics.
He spent most of his working life as an electronics technician, designing and installing radar equipment. He worked in Richmond for Transport Canada, then later Nav Canada.
He retired in 1999 eventually moving to Kelowna in 2003. He occupied his time volunteering in different organisations such as Friends of the Library, Glenmore Valley Community Association and his strata council.
One of his lifelong passions was Ruth Lake, he helped his uncle build a cabin in 1960 and afterwards spent many happy summers there alternately doing maintenance and relaxing.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
