It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of our mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt. Anne will be lovingly remembered by her children: Blaine (Paula), Janine (Wayne), Glen (Meg) and Gary (Kathy), her sister Mary, her brother Leonard (Eileen), 12 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews and in-laws. Anne was especially looking forward to meeting her 3 great granddaughters (triplets) due in November. Anne was predeceased by the love of her life, her husband Michael, her brother Frank and her parents Mathias and Mary Blaskovits.
Anne was a true Rutland pioneer, born and raised on a farm in the Hollywood Road area of Rutland. The homestead was located on what is now known as Matt Road, named after her father; a legacy she was proud of. Anne knew the value of hard work and lived by that value for her entire life. She met her lifelong partner, Michael Weninger, as a young woman and enjoyed over 63 years of marriage with him.
Our mom loved her family, dancing with our dad, trying her luck at casinos, playing cards, camping, travelling and cruising. Some of Mom's most memorable trips included a month-long trip to Australia, cruises to the Panama Canal, Alaska and the Caribbean, and camping at various square dance jamborees.
While we will miss our mom dearly, we know she is happily back in Dad's arms dancing to their favorite music.
A private family graveside service will be held to honour Anne's memory.
