Trevor Chantz Cottrell, of Keller, Texas, entered into eternal life on Friday, December 11, 2020 in Keller, Texas.
He will always be remembered as a loving son, brother and friend to all that knew and loved him. He entered into life on February 23, 1986 in Amarillo, Texas to Theodore and Yvonne Cottrell.
Chantz graduated from Grapevine High School in 2005 and University of Texas Arlington with a BS degree in University Studies in 2014. He was born with a genetic disorder called cystic fibrosis which manifested itself with liver failure, lung failure and ultimately consumed his health at age 34. He had six transplant surgeries between the ages of 8 and 20 which all delayed his education. In his youth, he enjoyed playing baseball and other team sports. As he got older his interest turned to car shows and performance sport cars as his hobby. The accomplishment that he was the proudest of was with his last sports car taking it down the 1/4 mile drag strip in 10 seconds at 140 mph. He really enjoyed spending time with and communicating electronically with his friends. His favorite enjoyment was standing knee deep in water on the beach with a light breeze. He found this to be very calming and relaxing.
Chantz is survived by his parents Theodore and Yvonne Cottrell of Keller, Texas; brother Tommy Perez (April) of Spring, Texas; brother Travis Cottrell (Katie) of Denver, Colorado; nieces and nephews, Mickaila Perez of Montgomery, Texas, Elise Perez, Maya Perez and Mason Chantz Perez all from Spring, Texas.
He was preceded in death by all of his grandparents.
