

SYLVIA YVONNE STUBBLEFIELD, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas. She will always be remembered as a loving daughter, mother, friend, and colleague to all who knew and loved her. She was born to Lillian Beatrice Watkins on August 20, 1952, in Tampa, Florida.
Sylvia’s life was marked by her unwavering devotion to her family. She enriched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her and carried herself gracefully, embracing those around her with open arms. Her warmth was not just felt; it was transformative, and she left behind a legacy of love that will endure for generations. She also had a passion for and love of NASCAR. Before retiring, she dedicated many years to her career at GTE (Verizon), leaving behind memories of her strength and professionalism. As we celebrate Sylvia’s life, we honor the joy and laughter she brought to those around her. Her memory will forever be etched in the hearts of her loved ones.
Sylvia is survived by her Mother, Lillian Beatrice Fripp, of Bellevue, NE; her daughter, Candi Stubblefield Dunn (Ron), of Fort Worth, TX; her grandchildren, Brianna Mikelle Holmes of Fort Worth, TX, and Brian Marlin Dunn of Fort Worth, TX; and her Siblings, Carmen Rodgers (James), Terry Smith (Walter), James Fripp (Catherine), Renee Wilson, Greg Fripp (Mary), and Gail Fripp (Abdul Kareem). She has twenty nieces and nephews. Her Father, James Augustus Fripp, and Brother, Frederick Augustus Fripp, preceded her in death.
Visitation will occur on Thursday, April 17, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Keller’s Old Town Funeral Home (220 Keller Pkwy, Keller, TX 76248). The funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the same location. Immediately following the service, Sylvia will be laid to rest at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park (5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, TX 76034).
