Sue Lynn O'Dell, age 83, of Keller, Texas passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2023. She was born on October 11, 1940 in Fort Worth, Texas to Evelyn and Wiley Howard Vinson. Sue Lynn Vinson was an only child. Evelyn later passed when "Susie" was in her late twenties and then Howard married Molly J a couple of years later, who was such a loving and amazing second Mom to Susie. Being Raised in a Strong Christian Family her Devotion and Love for Jesus is undeniable ! Her many loves and enjoyments were being in and with God's Creation.....Loving His nature and relishing in the relationships she had with her many pets that included majestic horses, a few cats and many sweet dogs which she cherished.
Susie's Greatest desire and passion was to be a Momma which finally happened after 6 miscarriages. She adopted her first precious Son, who she referred to as her little "boy baby" named Richie from the Cradle Society in Evanston, IL., outside of Chicago. Shortly after, she discovered she was pregnant with Rusty and ended up being able to carry him full term. After marrying her husband Jerry O'Dell (whom Richie introduced and set them up on a Blind Date), Susie would become "NeeNee" and Jerry would become "PawPaw" to 7 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren; which created an everlasting legacy of Joy and Love. Sue Lynn O'Dell also had the honor of having 2 daughter-in-laws: Tammy Havener married to Richie and Karolyn who was married to Rusty. Also, two step-daughters: Lizbeth Shotwell and Lisa O'Dell. She is also survived by: Jerry's sister, Martha Stout & Ron Phillips whom she loves like a Son & his daughter, Kenna who she loves like her own granddaughter. Susie had several careers that fulfilled her: Such as an Admin at Kendall College in Evanston IL, Lifeguard & Swimming Instructor to all ages, Billing Director for a water/utility company in Houston, Mortgage Loan Officer for Continental National Bank in Fort Worth, Escrow Officer for Ticor Title Company in Fort Worth, Admin for World's Finest Chocolate (which we all donated many dollars & enjoyed too...LOL), and finally her most Fulfilling and enjoyable job was at American Paint Horse Association of Fort Worth !! Her most favorite things were Holidays, Decorating, Family and Friends celebrating together with Huge meals. Best of all were....."NeeNee Breakfast's" with all of the Grand Kids!!! Sue Lynn Vinson O'Dell was challenged and overcame many illnesses and battles until November 8, 2023, when she was Peacefully welcomed into her Sweet Savior's arms Christ Jesus. We are all so Grateful that God allowed her to go home, visit with family and friends in her most favorite place (Her Sunroom also known as her HAPPY PLACE !)
