Bob was born to Ruffin Pelham and Ora Lee Willis on November 14th, 1928, and spent his childhood
years living on the family farm and attending McLeod High School in Texas. Bob had a special
love for football that started in high school where he was a part of the 1944 McLeod Longhorns
that was undefeated and unscored upon. When coupled with the preceding season’s also
seven unscored-upon wins, McLeod’s 16-0 streak is still a state record.
Bob also served in the Army and remained loyal and only showed respect for his country.
Bob was known for being incredibly passionate about his work. In the early 1950s, Bob started as a roughneck in the oil field. In 1955 he went to work for a company called Hycalog and worked there until 1961 when he started the company Analytical Logging. He sold Analytical Logging in 1970 and went to work with Dresser Industries. After working with Dresser Industries he decided to start a new company. In 1978 he started Technical Drilling Services, which is still in operation today.
He made friends and earned the respect of so many of his peers. Bob was a giving, caring, and selfless soul that truly provided unconditional love. He shared his passion for his craft through mentoring others and would do anything for anyone. Bob truly touched and changed so many lives.
When he wasn’t working, Bob enjoyed eating, playing dominos, going to the lake, fishing, and
attending Oklahoma State Football games with his wife of 38 years, Sarah. They were married on
October 8, 1985. Deeply in love and inseparable, they were always very involved in their church
and were a daily witness for GOD. Bob and his friend; Butch Beane and others
were involved in building Faithway Baptist Church.
Bob was preceded in death by his 2 brothers, one sister, and one sister-in-law and is survived by
his wife, Sarah, 3 children; Lance Holford, Kristy Moore, and Ronnie Willis; 7 grandchildren,
great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews who loved him dearly as well as friends, and coworkers that
he touched during his life.
A celebration of life will be held at the Old Town Keller Funeral Home Friday, September 16th,
2022, at 1:00 pm.
